Ben de Grouchy


I've worked in the recruitment industry for 10 years, 8 of which have been focused on building DGP which is a sales and marketing focused recruitment company. I built this from scratch up to a team of over 10 people, servicing some of the best clients possible such as Nestle, Unilever, Coty, Innocent, Diageo and Red Bull - to name just a few!

I set up ecruit as it allows me to provide my clients with a low cost alternative to using a recruitment agency. By combining my knowledge, with new technology and an amazing online marketing presence, I can give my clients access to a superb candidate network. My role here is varied; I love the thrill of dealing with customers and developing new concepts so I would describe myself as a customer service director and innovation manager all rolled into one!

When I'm not running the business, I can be found watching Peppa Pig with my new baby boy and 2 year old daughter, or jogging round the common trying to maintain my new fitness regime!

Natalie de Grouchy

Chief Operations and Technology Officer

I previously worked in the innovation and technology division of Barclays as Vice president, helping the bank drive their IT change agenda. I was tempted into the exciting world of recruitment and digital technology after craving something that would allow me a greater degree of ownership and speed to market, and I found exactly this at ecruit!

I am in charge of our technical product development, and the day-to-day running of the service team.

I have a love of the arts (which I studied at Kings College London), and when I'm not visiting galleries on the weekend I'll be found baking at home. I bake a mean cupcake, I'm sure the office can testify to this!

Kate Drury

Senior Campaign Manager

I'm a history graduate from Royal Holloway, and spent a short time on Sainsbury's management training program before taking my first role in recruitment at DG Partnership. I progressed up from a researcher position, to head up my own desk as a senior consultant focused on sales and marketing. I'm proud to have worked with some of the most prestigious names in my industry, from industry leaders like Pepsi and RB, through to SME start ups.

From here I was offered a role in the technology division of ecruit, where I now work as a senior client service manager helping customers with their recruitment campaigns. My colleagues describe me as "unflappable", but below the surface I'm always working frantically to try and keep my clients delighted! I get a real buzz out of quickly getting to the bottom of client requirements, and delivering the results I have promised.

I would describe myself as a real foodie, and I love cooking at home as well as trying out all the local restaurants in Leicester Square (as well as the odd bar).

Alex Leventhall

Senior Campaign Manager

I studied Communication, Media and Music at Liverpool University before starting my career off in the film industry. Here I met some of the most demanding people on the planet, which set me up very well for a career in client services and recruitment. I started off at DGP three years ago in the brand team, going through several promotions to eventually head up all of commercial marketing for the company.

I get a real pleasure and satisfaction from working with clients, and as a senior client service manager at ecruit my role is all about setting up and managing effective advertising campaigns for my customers. I am also a bit of a techie and a social media whizz, so my role bring together a lot of skills that I enjoy and come naturally.

My other real passion is for entertainment and music. I love going to gigs with friends and family, my top highlight was seeing Ed Sheeran which was awesome!

Claire Spencer

Researcher and Chief Copywriter

I have worked with the founders of ecruit for several years in a supporting role, helping research and recruit middle to senior level candidates into the consumer and b2b sectors. 

As a business administration graduate from Manchester, I have always described myself as having a creative edge. Therefore, the opportunity to work as a chief copywriter and creative for ecruit really played to my strengths.

I'm responsible for writing beautifully drafted adverts that are also SEO optimised, to make them stand out from the crowd! I'm a real wordsmith at heart!

I like to relax by reading and writing (I'm publishing a short stories novel on Amazon), going for long country walks in Dorset with my dog, or cooking a big roast on a Sunday for the family.

Catherine Smith

Campaign Manager

I'm one of the client service executives for ecruit, and my role is all about handling day-to-day account queries from clients, as well as setting up new recruitment advertising campaigns. I studied nursing and medicine, and previously worked at Accident and Emergency at Bournemouth hospital, before deciding that whilst I have a talent for helping people, I really wanted to work in a commercial role.

I love working for ecruit, the team atmosphere is really committed but we know how to have fun along the way. On the weekends, and when it is sunny, I like to go sailing or waterskiing in the Solent. In the winter I also love to ski - I'm a bit of an adventurer at heart!

Nina Pezeshkian

Campaign Manager

I graduated from Kings College London where I studied Philosophy, Religion and Ethics, and then spent two years running the office at IV Club in Maida Vale. I decided that I would love to move into something more creative, and opted for the exciting world of marketing and advertising at ecruit.

Working with such a diverse group of clients gives me a real buzz - no two assignments are the same - and I love the challenges I'm faced with every day.

In my spare time I love going to (an participating in) the theatre. I am a big music fan, and am pretty nifty with the guitar and piano. Not many people know this but I am also a qualified opera singer!

Alan's engaging and unique delivery style is well known in the industry, he has even trained several of us at ecruit having worked with the founder for many years.
